In partnership with Practical Action, SOLEKTRA has installed 185 street lights in 3 refugee camps namely Gihembe, Nyabiheke and Kigeme in Rwanda.

In 2019, In partnership with Practical Action in conjuction with UNHCR in the RE4R Project (Renewable Energy for Refugees), Paying particular attention to their safety, social networks and interactions;

Solar Street lights were installed in 3 refugee camps namely Kigeme, Nyabiheke and Gihembe leaving a positive impact in more than 48,728 lives in the three refugee camps all together. Whereby they were able to have access to social, economic infrastructure and basic services, which also led to socio-Economic investment opportunities.
