The smart solar irrigation system is an emerging technology for adjusting irrigation based on actual weather and soil condition; suitable for use in places where water scarcity and climate are a challenge.

The project focused on the intensification of crop production through the solar-powered irrigation system;  the project covered an area of 20 ha benefiting 17 households.

The project also focused on post-harvest handling technologies, market accessibility, financial services.
