Digital Literacy Training

SOLEKTRA Introduces Digital skills program to access, engage, and build computer confidence in the community.

In line with the Government’s objective to accelerate and promote digital literacy in all areas, SOLEKTRA started a project called “SMART VILLAGE “This Project was launched in September 2017 at Tumba Sector, Rulindo District in the Northern Province of Rwanda, it was inaugurated by Government Officials and their main sponsors “Samba Bathily”.

SOLEKTRA in collaboration with ICDL (International Computer Driving License) offered digital literacy training to 300 citizens and have been given certifications. The smart village project is currently offering different Government services such as Irembo services, Rwanda Revenue Authority services, various payment services, Solar Energy Solutions, and agent banking services.

Additionally, the local authorities and neighboring citizens are benefiting from other services such as Printing/Copy/Scanning, Internet café, etc.

SOLEKTRA’S objective is to replicate the project by building other ICT Centers in other Districts of the Country and beyond.
